Rated 1 out of 5 by from lucky I bought this helmet because of the name.Big mistake.I never really got to use it because it fell off my work bench[heated garage],a puny plastic part that holds the face shield and ear muff on shattered. No part is available.I have a toy for my grandson now.Stihl has last money they will ever get from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the extra money Very comfortable and works great! I've only had this helmet for three weeks now but already I'm sure I have saved my head and face from injuries. I have 43 acres of tillable ground surrounded by woods. I purchased the HT131 pole saw to cut back some of the overhanging trees. The face shield is easy to see through and does an excellent job of keeping the sawdust out of you face as well as protecting you from the brush. The helmet itself has protected my head from minor bumps as I've been dragging the cut limbs into the woods. The higher rated ear muffs are a plus when running my chain saws or operating my 4020. Overall I'm very pleased with this gear and would buy again if needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential Head & Face Protection This helmet system has worked as advertised for me... it's comfortable to wear, easy to use, and most importantly, it offers complete head and face protection (when worn with safety glasses). I can't imagine anyone operating a chainsaw (or brush cutter) and not wearing a full protective helmet system... it's just inexpensive insurance against head and face injuries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent fit, outstanding protection, good value I use this helmet with several Stihl tools (blower, pole saw, several chainsaws, weed eaters and when I'm using my chippers or log splitters). This helmet stays with you; look up, down or sideways and it doesn't fall over your nose. The screen works fabulously well and deflects wood chips, rocks and other debris with great success. While walking under huge Douglas fir trees I had a "widow maker" come down and hit me squarely on the helmet. The helmet deflected a heavy dead branch (about 4" diameter and maybe 18-20' long). Although the ear muff broke off, the helmet was fabulous; the branch was deflected to the side, I was completely uninjured, and if I can get a new muff, this is still a perfectly serviceable product. Yep, I keep these helmets available for people that work with me and they are required to wear them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from do not buy this model, buy the next more expensive one Lasted 1 hour, had ear muffs in stowed position, upon rotation into use mode 1 popped out of its socket, after spending a few minutes re seating, it lasted 5 minutes before the same thing happened, only the plastic base to the spring broke in 3 pieces. 60 degree day, can't imagine it lasting 1 minute in cold weather.Don't buy, if you already have, when the ear muff breaks off, don't bother searching for.a replacement part, stihl has nothing available. A word to those who already bough a pair. If you feel the need to rotate into stowed position, take some time to push down tab and slide each muffs out of mount, then lightly sand down until they rotate smoothly. This might buy you some more time. Ps I stow them when walking in tight brush.I repaired mine using the better stihl muffs. However screen won't incorporate with them.
